Your Story: "Truth Seeker" embodies the journey to reveal the authentic self, hidden behind the mask. It’s often difficult to see beyond the walls people construct for self-preservation, which obscure their true essence. For this piece, earthy, rich tones along with flakes of gold leaf, textures and to represent the layers you must peel back to unearth truth. This artwork is about facing uncomfortable truths, breaking through those barriers, and ultimately seeing yourself and others for who they truly are. It’s a powerful piece of figurative art that commands attention and makes a bold, impactful statement.

My Story: Creating "Truth Seeker" felt like following an unstoppable force that chose me as much as I chose her. She demanded to be seen and heard, pushing me to craft a piece that exuded strength, power, and determination. I leaned into darker, warmer palettes—rich magentas and deep browns—layered with gold leaf and texture paste to enhance her commanding presence.

Her wild, voluminous hair is my tribute to Tyra Banks, whose strength and fierce energy I have always admired. While the white and gold headpiece echoes the boldness of a warrior goddess. The peonies, which initially felt flat, were brought to life with some creative stitching. I also discovered that experimenting with rosemary twigs instead of traditional brushes added unexpected, delicate marks. Creating "Truth Seeker" filled my heart. I knew the energy I wanted to capture, but she evolved into something far beyond my dreams—a true force of nature, embodying modern feminine art.
