My Story: A couple of years ago, while on a family holiday in Noosa, I found myself sitting on the beach, soaking in the beauty around me. I vividly remember watching a young girl with bright red flowing hair playing in the waves. The sky was a brilliant blue, not a cloud in sight, and the surf was calm. Yet, the white frothy waves gently crashing onto the shore left a lasting impression. The vibrant contrast of the blue sky, the red (or orange) of her hair, and the white of the waves has been imprinted in my mind ever since.

As I’ve grown more confident in my process and skills, I’ve become bolder in experimenting with ways to add texture and depth to my artwork. I’ve also realised that I’m drawn to the boldness and striking contrast of colours and textures. I’m not afraid to use them anymore. I realise that when you create with confidence, the results are incredibly rewarding. This textured mixed media artwork captures the courage it takes to step into the unknown.
